Who? What? Why?

We are a husband and wife team. Stacey has been designing jewelry since she was a teenager, among other things like three dimensional artwork, purses and pill boxes; and Taylor has been designing everything else even longer. Whether inspired on any given day by the whimsical, the day dream or even just insomnia, Stacey tries to make jewelry that she loves and loves wearing. She seems to have an insatiable need for accessories, collecting jewelry, purses, eyeglasses, trinkets, stuff, nonsense and the like. Taylor loves to collect antiques, lighting fixtures, furniture and anything from the Arts and Crafts Movement. Stacey is more eclectic and likes the old and the futuristic, the refined and the undefined. Each piece she makes is a little piece of her heart and she puts a lot of care and dedication into each one. Without Taylor's assistance, she would have jewelry with no displays, necklaces without frames to hang on, nor two beautiful children, but that 's a different story altogether. Stacey named a lot of the pieces for the friends that inspire them, as any woman knows, friendship is how we survive in this world. So, if you see a necklace and she tells you it's called the "Peggy's Nana" or the "Fair Maiden Elizabeth" or the "Kimberly", you'll know there is a loving friend behind her who inspired the piece. As for the name of the company, Grasshopper Moon- something that came to Stacey without explanation and declared itself just so and the stuff and nonsense, one of her favorite songs......
